Ombudsperson (SGRC)

Student Grievance Redressal

Students are advised to raise their grievances through the Student ERP Portal. Grievances submitted through the ERP are directly routed to the concerned person/office and are therefore likely to facilitate faster and more effective resolution.

 

Students may also submit their grievance by writing to the Chairperson, Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) at sgrc@srmuniversity.ac.in. The grievance should clearly mention the student’s Registration Number, Programme, and Mobile Number to enable verification and communication.  The student shall also mention what relief they are seeking.

 

Anonymous grievances or emails without adequate identification and contact details shall not be entertained.

 

The Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) shall consider grievances in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023 and the applicable University rules and procedures.

 

A student who is aggrieved by the decision of the SGRC may prefer an appeal before the Ombudsperson, in accordance with the procedure and timelines prescribed under the UGC (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023.
