The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) with over 1000 members, is the premier organization representing India’s automotive components manufacturing industry.
The ACMA Mobility Foundation” (AMF), which has been formed under the aegis of ACMA and its mission is to drive industry growth, job creation, and economic prosperity, ACMA Mobility Foundation is dedicated to supports manufacturing industry in expanding network, offering valuable resources, training on cutting edge technologies and national and international expos, shows, missions , collaboration opportunities etc. The AMF contributes to manufacturing excellence through skills training, mentoring programs and initiatives like cluster training programs, various assessment programs, Need base inhouse training, competitions, consultancy services and training to graduate engineer trainees.
Centre of Excellence (ACoE) – SAKSHAM is a state-of-the-art training facility established under the banner of Automotive Mobility Foundation (AMF) to impart technological knowledge to the industry and to bridge the skilling gap between academia and the industry. SKASHAM is situated inside the campus of SRM University, Delhi-NCR, Sonepat.
ACMA has dedicated its most advanced training facility & experimental setups to learn and innovate in the field of mechatronics for the use of industry and academia in the field of :
-
Mechatronics Lab – The centre boasts to possess the most advanced PLC, Numatics, Robotic and IoT machines for simulation. The lab is a full fledged set of integration of mechanical engineering, with electronics and intelligent computer control in the design and manufacturing of industrial products and processes. Lab involves (i) implementing electronics control in a mechanical system (ii) enhancing existing mechanical design with intelligent control and (iii) replacing mechanical components with an electronic solution. The wide array of courses delivered covers all aspects related with mechatronics such as sensors and transducers, actuators and mechanisms, signal conditioning, microprocessors and microcontrollers, modelling & system response and design and mechatronics, Robotics, PLC controlling , Internet of things (IoT) etc.
-
Design Lab - Centre's design Lab is equipped with hi- tech workstations specifically made to design and the cloud based CATIA (Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application) multi-platform CAD/CAM/CAE software which is one of the world’s leading solutions for Product Design and Experience and through training's at centre leading organizations learn to develop the products design in the age of experience. The design lab is used by Systems architects, engineers, designers, and all manufacturing contributors to define, imagine, and shape the connected world of manufacturing.
Electric Vehicle Engineering – The Morris Garages India (MG Motors) contributed an electric vehicle (4 wheels) to the Centre purely for the training purpose and through various training in EV field the centre is helping industry to create an ecosystem for Sustainable Mobility Solutions in the country. Various programs in Electric Vehicle, Specialization in Electric Vehicle, HEV technologies are designed and delivered at SAKSHAM.
Centre of Excellence (CoE) SAKSHAM ensures continuous supply of quality trainers in the manufacturing sector and for academia. Special training programme are being developed for training of trainers, including training in collaboration with its knowledge partners (KPs) like AOTS (Japan), BBW (Germany), VDA (Germany), UNIDO, Cardiff University (UK), IIT (Palakkad). Programs with KPs include new technology training, certification courses, study missions, exchange programme, industry visits and simulated training and online training programs. Moreover, appropriate training in the latest technological developments for upgrading the technical skill of industry professionals.
Centre is aligned with the rapidly evolving needs of automotive component manufacturers, keeping pace with technological advancements and their swift adoption. The IoT lab facility provided at the centre helps student of various departments to delve into various applications of sensors and smart objects. The IoT lab consists of numerous sensors that helps in investigating a variety of applications. When and where a technical issue occurs, as well as when equipment needs maintenance, can all be predicted by IoT sensors. Because repairs can be completed more quickly as a result, expenses may be decreased.
It is dedicated to the industry, providing a conducive environment for experiential learning, and supporting organizations in building a motivated, well-trained, and competent workforce, ready for the future. This Industry-academia collaboration promotes industry-based projects for students, Ph.D. scholars, and research fellows, fostering groundbreaking innovative solutions & new ideas.
SAKSHAM (CoE) expanded its focus to include training in ESG , Net Zero, circular economy and Sustainability, contributing to a clean and green environment. This program explores new technologies for reducing carbon emissions and energy consumption, leveraging digital opportunities amidst a paradigm shift in manufacturing.

The ACMA (Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India) and SRM University collaboration is focused on advancing engineering and manufacturing. This partnership predominantly involves various initiatives such as Faculty Development Program, Research & Development, internships, training programs, and workshops aimed at bridging the gap between industry needs and academic knowledge.
