Humanities and Social Sciences

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at SRM University, Delhi-NCR consists of four departments, that is, English, Economics, Political Science, and Psychology. The vision is to nurture the love for knowledge and an understanding of the current society/world through an interdisciplinary engagement, and also, to develop an academic ecosystem that is cohesive and inclusive to promote high-quality and sustainable academic delivery.

Apart from the above-mentioned subjects/courses, an integral part of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is the Personality Development Department (PDD) which assists the students to develop their personality holistically and accomplish the objectives by understanding their true potential. The PDD through its devoted 'Proficient Navigator' assists the students in achieving future professional development by helping the students select the correct courses and modules which are best suited for the potential that an individual has and can further achieve. Our students, whether at undergraduate or postgraduate levels are taught in such a manner that they are well-prepared for their professional lives in careers such as education, research, business, law, government sector, publishing houses, journalism and advertising, corporate sector, NGOs and higher education.
