Biotechnology 

The Department of Biotechnology was established in 2018. We have Postgraduate M.Sc. programme in Biotechnology. Department has the mission to make its students technically strong and coherently aware by inculcating the domain of the implications of their studies. It is one of the most vibrant departments of SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat (Haryana). The Department has well-equipped laboratories to provide hands-on training and research exposure to the students.

We have state of the art lab facilities along with specialized Centre for Drug, Discovery, Designing & Development (C4D) unit to support our academic courses and research areas. Our department is having active research groups for carrying out collaborative and interdisciplinary research.

The department has nationally and internationally experienced and trained faculty to impart knowledge in the various specialized fields of Biotechnology. The faculties are assigned to teach our students the fundamental perceptions and the advance level of learning. In addition to classroom teaching, the students are directed and instructed to practically implement the principles learnt in classrooms through various laboratory exercises & experiments. Along with flip classes, the students are also taught with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Students are provided project training program in top organizations like DRDO & CSIR etc. The department conducts various workshops, expert talks and training programs. Students are motivated to actively participate in International/National seminars, symposiums, conferences and workshops.

It gives me pride and pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Biotechnology at SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat (Haryana), India. The Department of Biotechnology was established in 2018. Department has the mission to make its students technically strong and coherently aware by inculcating the domain of the implications of their studies. As per UGC-norms, Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) has been implemented, in the departmental curriculum, so that our students get high quality education with an innovative core and specialized subject units together with related practical skills. The Department has well-equipped laboratories to provide hands-on training and research exposure to the students.
