International Tea Day was celebrated on 22.12.22 by the departmental club incrEDIBLE Alliance of Food Technology Department. Tea is the world’s most consumed drink, after water. Tea consumption has health benefits and wellness due to the beverage's anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and weight loss effects. It also has cultural significance in many societies. The students inculcated the theme, edifying it in the form of recipe and quiz. The students grasped and acknowledged the fact that tea production and processing contributes to the health benefits, the fight against hunger, the empowerment of women and the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems. The department witnessed a successful event under the guidance and supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Dubey, Dean FSH and Dr. Ajit Kumar, HoD Chemistry and other faculty members of FSH school. The event ended with vote of thanks and distribution of goodies to the winners with a small Christmas party.
