SRM – SIEMENS CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE (SSCoE) has been launched to provide students with a platform wherein they can learn and use Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software to enhance their knowledge. These software offer a comprehensive and integrated solution to all the problems of automation. This software has given industries an upper hand in electric vehicle development and viable solution to the problem faced in such electric vehicles by the industry and its consumers. Siemens has established itself as a market leader by helping in the expansion if many industries across the world with 360' innovation ecosystem. The SSCoE not only help students to innovate but also turn their ideas into reality. The mission of Siemens Centre of excellence is to promote advancement and implementation of PLM, and advanced digital manufacturing factory concepts through research and education partnership with the industry.  The SSCoE has the following labs - Product Digitalization-Design Lab, Process Digitalization-Production Planning Lab, Biotech Specialized Lab, Simulation and Analysis Lab, and CNC Controller Lab. These labs apart from providing a vast learning experience, also have the tools and applications which are desired at industries to enhance automation. The students get the opportunity to develop new products, redesign already existing products for better performance. The biotech lab helps students to develop biomedical equipment as well as improve existing equipment. Simulation lab helps students to look into the future, predict the consequence of any design change in the real world performance of the products. CNC lab helps students to design and develop products for mass production. The students develop G&M code of the turning and milling CNC machine.
