Sep 15, 2020 SRM University Delhi – NCR, Sonepat, Haryana has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Siemens Industry Software (India) Private Limited for the establishment of “Siemens Centre of Excellence (COE)” on September 15th, 2020. The Centre of Excellence (COE) will have the following Labs in its first phase: Product Digitalization – Design Lab Process Digitalization – Production Planning Lab Bio-Tech Specialized Lab Simulation and Analysis Lab CNC Controller Lab The project's total cost is more than 36 Crore (INR). The official inaugural launch of the Siemens Centre of Excellence was organized online on September 23rd, 2020. Honorable Chancellor, SRM University Delhi-NCR, Shri Ravi Pachamoothoo, Mr. Akhilesh Sahi, Director (Sales) - Academic: Siemens Industrial Software Pvt. Ltd and Mr. Ajay Deshkar, CEO of 3D Engineering Automation were present amongst the prominent dignitaries. The presidential address was delivered by the Honorable Chancellor, SRM University Delhi-NCR. He addressed the gathering about his vision of this University as a global brand name and students as global leaders. Mr. Ajay Deshkar gave a presentation on the “Siemens Centre of Excellence” and its benefits. He informed the students about each lab's various benefits and uniqueness. Mr. Manoj Madhavan Kutty, Director (Administration and International Relations) gave a brief introduction about the SRM Group and its legacy. Prof. V. Samuel Raj, Dean (Academic Affairs) addressed the gathering about the Academia-Industry - Research initiative at SRM and emphasized such collaborations. Prof. Manish Bhalla, Registrar, and Officiating Vice-Chancellor delivered his special remarks. Prof. R. A. Yadav, Advisor to the Honorable Chancellor congratulated the team on this event. Mr. Ajay Deshkar and Mr. Akhilesh Sahi gave an introduction to 3D Engineering and Siemens. Mr. Chandrakumar IAS (Rtd), Director (Admin), SRM Group gave his closing remarks.
