ThinkTECH: STEM Orator’s Society under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology successfully organized “WordWeave: Random Tech Storytelling Competition” on 8th May 2026. The event aimed to encourage students to explore the intersection of technology, creativity, and storytelling through imaginative narratives based on random technological prompts.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. Participants were challenged to create engaging and original stories using randomly assigned technology-related words intermixed with general-category words. The event provided a vibrant platform for young writers to showcase their creativity, critical thinking, and narrative skills while reflecting on the growing influence of technology in everyday life.

The event commenced with a formal welcome address delivered by the organizing committee, highlighting the significance of storytelling in the digital age. The rules and evaluation criteria were then explained to the participants. Contestants were given a limited time to develop stories based on randomly generated prompts, which added spontaneity and excitement to the competition. The participants presented a wide variety of stories ranging from futuristic science fiction and artificial intelligence narratives to humorous takes on modern gadgets and virtual realities. The judge appreciated the originality, language proficiency, creativity, and innovative integration of technological themes into compelling narratives.

The competition was judged by Dr. Mudasir Rahman, who evaluated the entries based on creativity, coherence, presentation, and relevance to the prompt. After careful deliberation, the winners were announced and awarded certificates and prizes. The event not only promoted creative writing and communication skills but also encouraged students to think critically about technology and its impact on society. It fostered imagination, teamwork, and confidence among participants while creating an engaging academic and cultural atmosphere.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the student coordinator, expressing gratitude to the organizing committee, judges, participants, volunteers, and audience members for making the event a grand success. Overall, “WordWeave: Random Tech Storytelling Competition” proved to be an enriching and inspiring experience that successfully blended creativity with technological imagination, leaving participants motivated to continue exploring innovative forms of storytelling.
